Our background Our domain Our wines Our address

Our domain

The domain of La Baudelière extends into the well-known appellations of Aigle and Yvorne, in canton Vaud.

We work and manage three hectares of vines, of which the chief is Chasselas, representing 85 percent of our production. The remaining 15 percent is planted with Pinot noir, Gamay, Mondeuse, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Our vines of Aigle and Yvorne are mainly cultivated according to Guyot basse methods, with a density of more than 10'000 vines per hectare, which allows us to obtain harvests of excellent quality.

We work our vineyards according to environmentally friendly methods, and follow the rules laid down by Vitiswiss (*).

(*) Vitiswiss is an independent body which controls the products used in viniculture and wine production and provides after tasting a label of quality (Vinatura) to wines.

The cellar

Our cellar

An aristocratic family from Lausanne built la Baudelière in 1820.

The attractive house and stables are in the style of a manor house and its outbuildings. The vaulted cellar, which is part of the property, contains fourteen large "tuns", or casks, which are a continuation of the traditions of our ancestors.

Our Chasselas of Aigle and Yvorne, as well as our red wines, are exclusively prepared in wooden vats. In that way, our wines can develop, breathe and assert their different characteristics.
