I was born in the canton of Valais in 1960 (not a good vintage
year). But that did not stop me !
When I was 17, my father gave me a patch of land which was planted
with Blackburgunder. Thanks to that gift, I became interested in
vines and wine. After gaining practical work experience in several
different establishments, I attended the School of Oenology at Changins
in canton Vaud.
After that, I stayed on at Changins to work in the cellar of the
department of agronomical research for six years. But my ambition
was to restore the domain which belonged to my great-uncle, Maurice
Troillet, and to reorganize his cellar which was located at Fully,
in canton Valais. I started in a modest way with about one hectare.
Today I have seven.
I am a single parent, with an eleven year-old daughter, called
Pranvera. She's a wonderful girl and I am devoted to her.
